We created the first in the country PC based real-time 3D renderer (1993) based on proprietary algorithms which did not require hardaware acceleration and reached peak performance of 40000 polygons/sec on 486/33 DOS VGA (almost at the same time as Canon Research Europe UK did). It was used for VR modeling of the interior and on-board equipment of "Priroda" ("Nature") and "Spectr" modules of MIR space station (1996), to help NASA astronauts get aquainted with "Mir".
